"Hello sir. I just got great news today. It looks like our son will be administratively separated, due to his asthma, with an honorable discharge.  I will give you a call when things are official and departure date is known and give you update on VA benefits also. Once again, I sincerely thank you and Sharon for all of your help. Talk to you soon."

"I would like to once again thank you for all the hard work and effort you have put into my case. I was pleasantly surprised to not receive a UIF but instead, a new LOR to replace the one previously given to me."

I think we have a very well articulated argument."
-- Navy Officer in the Mid-West

"I think that one of the smartest decisions I ever made was to look you up in the Air Force Times! You are truly an inspiration, and I will always be grateful to you. I have learned many lessons this past year, and I have grown into a stronger and wiser person. I know now to never give up without a fight! Never will I let anyone take something away from me (or try) that I have worked so hard for. I cannot thank you enough. I got so many hugs today from people, and they also gave me five CONGRATS balloons."

Your advice and direction gave us what we needed to fight back and to eventually completely clear my name and receive 65% more rating than we had originally hoped for. We could not have thought of a better way to have spent our money. Thank you from me and all my family."

"I suppose that every Chief Judge has a decision that lends itself as a landmark of his time on the court. During my tenure there were many, but United States v. Gay, 16 M.J. 586 (AFCMR 1983) has to be at the top of the list or close to it. The decision, written by Wayne Kastl, found the current Manual for Courts-Martial provision permitting the imposition of the death penalty to be unconstitutional. For any young lawyer who hopes to be a judge the reading of this decision is a must. It is scholarly, thoughtful and the way an appellate decision should be written."
